Yevgeny Prigozhin Wagner Group Founder and His Profanity Laced Rant at Russia |

As the Wagner group announced a retreat an angry Yevgeny Prigozhin (the founder) delivered a profanity laced rant towards the Russian Ministry of Defense. Relations between the two continue to deteriorate as tensions between the two continue to rise.
"Their blood is still fresh, and now, listen to me, b----," Yevgeny Prigozhin, Wagner’s founder and leader, said in a video as he walked among the bodies of dead soldiers. "These are someone’s fathers and someone’s sons."
"And those [expletive] who don’t give us ammunition will burn in Hell, eating their guts, [expletive]," he continued, aiming his rant at Sergei Shoigu, the Russian defense minister, and Valery Gerasimov, the chief of the general staff. "We have a 70% shortage of ammunition. Shoigu, Gerasimov, where is the ammunition? Look at them, b----!"
Prigozhin has resorted to increasingly vitriolic rants as he finds his influence waning and more alienated from the Russian Military Command. He has tried to use the Russian press to influence the Leadership of the Russian Military by giving an interview with a Russian blogger claiming the troops were down to their last supplies of ammunition. He has said everything else will crumble if he is forced to pull back his forces.

Saudi Arabia Says LGBT Tourists Are Now Welcome to Visit |

In order to grab out to attract more tourist dollars, Saudi Arabia is now reaching out to a most unlikely section of the market (LGBT travelers). “Everyone is welcome to visit Saudi Arabia and visitors are asked not to disclose such personal details,” was the website’s response when someone inquired if LGBT were welcome to visit the country.
It is not known when this policy was put in place by the Saudi Tourist Authority. Same Sex activity remains a criminal offense. People in the LGBT community are at risk of being arrested and prosecuted under Saudi Law and face substantial discrimination by law enforcement.
Saudi Arabia wants to compete against places such as Qatar or Dubai which are reaching out to the LGBT communities for the lucrative tourist market. However it is not on the travelers’ terms but the country’s terms.
In general visitors from the LGBT travelling to these countries must be sensitive to the local culture and keep their “queerness” very discreet. You must be “cis passing” if you are transgender. LGBT residents in this area know what is and isn’t acceptable and If you show up and you are non-binary or are obviously male or trans with makeup on, you will be denied entrance.
Darren Burn, CEO of Out Of Office, a luxury travel planning service for the community, and of Travel Gay, the world’s largest LGBTQ+ travel platform, feels that sitting down with the Saudi Government and the Saudi Tourist Board and initiating talks about how to create a safe travel experience for LGBTQ visitors would enhance Saudi Arabia’s potential to become a gay friendly destination.

A horrified world audience watched two days ago as video recorded Israeli security forces storming Al-Aqsa Mosque for a second time in Jerusalem and violently evicting and arresting hundreds of Palestinian worshippers celebrating Ramadan. The clashes took place at Al-Aqsa Mosque during the Holy Month of Ramadan as Muslims observed the month long fast. Passover also happened to fall at the same time with Jewish worshippers at Al-Aqsa.
Early Wednesday morning, Israeli officers stormed the mosque with fireworks being launched at them and ricocheting off the walls. Israeli police said in an official statement that they entered Al-Aqsa after "hundreds of rioters and others desecrating the mosque barricaded themselves inside. More than 350 people were arrested and removed from the mosque while two Israeli police were also wounded. The raid which took place Wednesday was caught on official video from the Israeli police as well as cellphone video showing Palestinians being beaten with rifle butts and nightsticks.

Russia will be moving some Tactical Nuclear Weapons to Belarus |

Vladamir Putin announced Saturday that he will be moving some tactical nuclear weapons to neighboring Belarus. These are not the giant intercontinental nukes that would end the world as we know it but smaller more strategic weapons to make specific gains on the battlefield. The US reacted cautiously to his statement as senior officials indicated that there were no signs that Putin was planning to use them. The move is seen as trying to intimidate the West in regards to the standoff with Ukraine and to distract the world view from focusing on Russia's internal problems. Putin compared this to the US stationing its nukes in Europe. However Putin does not intend to transfer control of them over to Belarus.
According to the senior officials in the US administration Russia and Belarus had been talking about this for some time. Putin has said that Russia would complete a storage facility for them to be placed in by July 1st

International Criminal Court Charges Russian President Vladamir Putin and Maria Lvova |

Arrest warrants were issued for both Putin and Maria Lvova-Belova (Russia’s commissioner for children’s rights). Both were allegedly responsible for unlawfully deporting children from occupied areas of Ukraine to Russia. The court alleged that he committed the offenses directly or cooperated with others or failed to stop subordinates from doing so who were under his authority.
In addition to the arrest warrants, investigators looking into the military assault against Ukraine have uncovered allegations of forced deportations, torture, rape and deliberate targeting of civilian infrastructure. These have been documented in reports issued by the United Nations and other organizations.
The ICC’s prosecutor Karim Khan has met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelansky several times and traveled to Ukraine to document hundreds of children in Ukrainian orphanages and children’s care homes who have been deported to Russia for adoption by Russian families with Russian citizenship being conferred on them.
The Kremlin repeated on Friday that it does not recognize the jurisdiction of the ICC in the Hague Netherlands.

Saudi Arabia and Iran Agree to Restore Diplomatic Relations |

Quote:After a bitter 7 year feud, Saudi Arabia and Iran agree to restore diplomatic relations in an agreement brokered on both sides by China.
Saudi Arabia cut ties in January 2016 after demonstrators stormed its embassy in Tehran following Saudi Arabia's execution of a prominent Shia cleric.
Tensions between the Sunni and Shia-led neighbours have since often been high.
They regard each other as a threatening power that seeks regional dominance. They also support rival sides across the Middle East, including in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq - and most overtly in Yemen.Iran has supported Shia Houthi rebels who forced out the Saudi-backed government in 2014, while Saudi Arabia has led a devastating air campaign against the Houthis since the following year.
Saudi Arabia has also accused Iran of helping the Houthis attack it. In the most serious incident of its kind, drones and missiles struck major Saudi oil facilities in 2019, causing damage and disruption to production. Saudi Arabia and its US ally blamed Iran for the attack - something Iran denied.Previous attempts at reconciliation have been unsuccessful, but on Friday the two countries said they would reopen embassies within two months. They will also re-establish trade and security relations. The US cautiously welcomed the announcement. White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said the administration supported "any effort to de-escalate tensions in the region". But he added: "It really does remain to be seen if Iran is going to meet their obligations."
UN chief Antonio Guterres thanked China for brokering the deal. The secretary-general is ready to help efforts "to ensure durable peace and security in the Gulf region", his spokesman said.Israel, which has called for maximum pressure on Iran over its nuclear program, has not commented.

Saudi Arabia and Iran have been locked in a struggle for regional dominance for years. Religion and Israeli relations play a key factor in the rivalry between Saudi Arabia and Iran.Saudi Arabia is based on an austere form of Islam initiated by Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab a religious reformer who entered into an alliance with Muhammad ibn Saud in 1744 (the founder of the first Saudi state).
Saudi citizens who are Shia Muslim rather than Sunni still face widespread discrimination and prejudice

While both countries do not yet recognize Israel, Saudi Arabia was inching closer towards Israeli recognition. However Saudi Arabia's newfound normalization with Iran has some worrying prospects especially in Israel: https://www.al-monitor.com/originals/202...ment-china
